This is a home-based role and can be located anywhere in the United States.

We are looking for a sales account manager with a proven track record to help us grow our Plant Nutrition and Care market segment. At Sensient BioNutrients, we help some of the most recognized companies manufacture their biopesticides more efficiently. We do this by developing and manufacturing yeast-derived and plant-derived extracts that help in increasing biopesticide yield, improving cell counts or increasing stability of biologicals.  Our technical expertise in various extraction technologies creates eco-friendly, high-performance biological ingredients to solve increasing challenges faced by the agriculture market. 

What will you be doing?

  • TECHNICAL SALES:  Solve our customer’s innovation challenges, specifically helping customers optimize production of biocontrol products (both microbial and metabolite based) or microbial biostimulants, using Sensient ingredients and providing product insights and related science. Collaborate with our Global Technical Service Manager to provide technical support and act as a consultant to our Plant Nutrition and Care customers. Coordinate sample management and support on field trials follow-up.  
  • TERRITORY GROWTH: Build and engage with current customer base to initiate projects that have a high likelihood of success. Grow revenue in the US and EU with key players in the biological crop protection market
  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:  Develop relationships with current and new prospects and close sales at new accounts.  Build a robust pipeline of near and long-term opportunities. Help promote our solutions at industry conferences and trade shows. 

What you will bring with you?

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural or Biological Sciences or with 5+ years of experience in sales and business development in crop protection. 
  • Experience with biological crop protection products is required. 
  • Basic knowledge of regional regulatory landscape in agriculture. 
  • In addition to this, you thrive in a customer-facing environment and are willing to travel more than 50%.
