Savory Flavorist/Senior Savory Flavorist
At Sensient Technologies, we are experts in the science, art and innovation of color and flavor. We are market savvy and visionary. We are problem solvers. And we will be better with you.
Our Flavorist role with our Savory Group is a key member of the Sensient team, where you will be required to push boundaries and innovate onsite in the lab, 5 days per week.
What you’ll do:
- Expertly develops flavor solutions including new creations, modifications and duplications across a broad range of Savory flavor profiles for Soups, Broths, Sauces, Dips, Dressings, Meats and Plant Based Meats
- Supports Sales and Marketing objectives and directly interacts with key customers in support of existing and new business growth opportunities. Understands the commercial aspects of the flavor business
- Manages transfer of process reaction flavor formulas from bench to production
- Trains other Flavorists and Application Technologists in flavor chemistry and flavor processing
What you’ll bring:
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Food Science related fields.
- Requires 5-10 years of experience in food ingredient or flavor industry, including spray drying, reaction flavors, liquid and dry compounding in either lab or production environment.
- Professional Flavorist Certification through Society of Flavor Chemists preferred.
- Previous experience in Food Regulatory, FDA, USDA, QC or Food Product development would be helpful.
