Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.

Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.

Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.

Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.

Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Botanical Extracts Developer

You will support our focus to optimise the current portfolio of extracts as well as develop new extracts using different botanicals and processing. The core use for our extracts is bring flavor and aroma for the Food and Beverage industry. The role will support this goal through combination of project management and practical laboratory work. 

What you’ll do:

  • Research and development of new botanical extracts and extraction processes
  • Review and optimizing processing of current portfolio 
  • Registering new raw materials and products for use internally
  • Maintaining stock of core products for sampling
  • Supporting the manufacturing and quality teams globally for critical incidents
  • Delivery of assigned projects through development of extraction techniques and products from laboratory scale through to manufacture and commercialization
  • Maintaining safe working laboratory environment, including laboratory audits, restocking of solvents, raw materials and glassware

What you’ll bring:

  • Ideally knowledge of flavor & fragrance, chemistry, extraction processes, and/or natural products chemistry
  • Understanding of basic scientific principles, flavor regulations and process optimization
  • Being adaptable, willing to work on a broad range of different projects, ability to work independently and strong collaboration in cross functional global teams
  • Ideally Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science (chemistry, chemical engineering or food science) or proven relevant work experience
