Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.
Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.
Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.
Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.
Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Application Scientist, Savoury & Pet Food
In close cooperation with R&D and Sales, you will develop new product concepts, are a competent partner for our customers and the technical support to our sales team. In this responsible position, you will work closely with national and international colleagues to optimize our product range and to realize innovative solutions for our customers.
What you'll do:
- Realization of customer projects: development of application formulations in the lab, creation and optimization of application processes
- Provide product recommendations in e.g. Savoury or Pet Food based on Sensient’s colour portfolio
- Support of the sales and marketing at customer presentations and product launches, e.g. with application trials, prototyping and photographs
- Conduct technical seminars, trainings and presentations of innovative colour concepts
- Represent Sensient Food Colors at fairs and exhibitions
- Participate in national and international project teams
What you'll bring:
- You bring a university degree in chemistry, food technology or similar studies
- With professional experience in R&D, you have a strong understanding of the development, production and application of food ingredients
- Fluent in English spoken and written
- Very good knowledge of MS Office; experience in dealing with a computerized inventory management program is beneficial
- We need a creative mind and you will show us your innovative thinking and creativity in the recruiting process, both in a team as well as in an autonomous roles
- As you will have customer contacts, we may occasionally require some travel, which you are willing and able to take up
