Process Engineer

We are looking for a Process Engineer / Scheduler to join our dynamic team at the Juneau facility. In this key role, you'll be at the center of the manufacturing control and planning process, ensuring production runs smoothly, meets yield/quality expectations, and stays on schedule. You'll use your understanding of production processes to lead production planning and scheduling by collaborating closely with our operations and supply chain teams while finding ways to make production more efficient. 

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, schedule, and adjust production processing for the facility from start to finish – incoming raw materials, processing in departments, and work instructions for assigned areas.
  • Work in Microsoft Excel, JD Edwards, and Microsoft systems to schedule and report production data.
  • Work with operations and quality departments to investigate and resolve raw materials issues, yield issues, and customer complaints.
  • Supervise and adjust production plans based on daily operations, staffing, and customer orders. 
  • Work with operations and supply chain functions to ensure timely production and delivery of products to customers.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to production throughput, processing times, and yield rates for all products. 
  • Complete end of month reporting on raw material, finished good, and supporting inventory.
  • Assist in supervising and scheduling production employees on all shifts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Business or Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering, production scheduling, operations, and/or supply chain.
  • Ability to learn all operations areas, personnel, and processing times for batches. 
  • A positive and can-do attitude.  
  • Root cause analysis experience.  
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in an ERP system, preferably JDE as well as Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
