Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.
Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.
Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.
Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.
Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Sensient Australia is a leading developer, producer and supplier of natural and synthetic flavour and colour systems for customers around the country and within the Asia Pacific Region. The Company's high-performance products play a central role in the manufacture of foods and beverages, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. We are seeking for a collaborative individual who will be working closely with the Commercial Group to leverage technical expertise in advancing and sustaining business growth within Australia's colour business sectors.
What you will do:
- Guiding Colour Technologists and Application Technologists in executing customer projects related to colour that sourced from our Project Pipeline.
- Duties encompass developing prototypes that showcase customer specifications, offering technical support throughout project lifecycles, and delivering comprehensive technical guidance to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Review compliance with relevant regulations, in conjunction with the Regulatory Team, as required
- Translate data to non-technical and diverse audience.
- Maintain technical documentation for all products and application formulations. Help develop product formulation prototypes with Sensient ingredients for strategic commercial documents and presentations.
- Design and delivery training and mentoring in the colour category, to help build skills within the local Sensient Team
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in general science or food science or equivalent experience preferred.
- 10 years of project management experience.
- Seven to ten years of technical experience in the food colorants industry with a strong understanding of finished formulations.
- Must have a suitable industry presence to present a credible authority to our customer, employees and the broader food industry.
