Application Technologist, Bakery & Sweet Good GIC

Exciting times ahead in the world of flavour and colour innovation! We are seeking for an individual who are self-driven and has strong passion for baking and confectionery. You should be able to provide technical assistance to the Commercial Team with new product creations that can excel in the competitive market. In this role, you will be carrying out programs and projects involving flavours and colours application in the sweet goods category in-order to develop in-house knowledge on technology and application science. This is a strong resource to the Technical Service Manager with regard to short and long-range plans, strategies and tactics.
This exciting opportunity is 100% office based at our Biopolis office.
What you will do:
- Leading scientific studies to showcase solution performance and value is key. This includes conducting pilot and production trials focusing on bakery and confectionery applications.
- Collaborate and engage with cross-functional teams to develop new solutions, formulations, and processes, aligning with sales growth
- Engage in promotional campaigns and workshops for external customers alongside Commercial and Local Technical Teams
- Enhance the flavors and colours library through ongoing evaluation and stability studies
- Maintain a detailed technical database with thorough documentation of studies and trial results
- Ensure seamless laboratory operations by managing raw material availability and equipment upkeep
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or applied science related to food
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in working with sweet goods applications
- Product development experience, preferably in bakery and confectionery
- Understanding of ingredient technology, their usage, interactions, and processing

About Sensient New Global Innovation Center in Singapore:
Sensient new global innovation center GIC will bring together scientists and technologists from many different Sensient business units, including : Food colors and flavors – Pharmaceutical - Sensient natural ingredients – Bionutrients – Cosmetics.
With a focus on new product development and application extension, the Center will exemplify deep collaboration and cross-pollination of Sensient Groups. This will allow the teams to innovate in a broader sensory context of flavor, color, texture, sight and aroma.
