This opportunity is 100% office based in Somerset, NJ

Ready to drive sales growth and build strong customer and distributor relationships? As a Senior Inside Sales Rep, you’ll lead demand generation, manage pipelines, provide quotes, and support key accounts — mostly from our office, with occasional field visits.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships through regular phone calls, qualifying accounts, and managing follow-ups to secure repeat business.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline, participate in pipeline meetings, and coordinate sales strategies and promotional campaigns with management.
  • Prepare and manage quotations, process orders, and coordinate with internal departments on invoicing, inventory, and delivery logistics.
  • Qualify prospects, transfer leads to outside Account Managers when appropriate, and collaborate with sales teams to grow multi-location or multi-functional accounts.
  • Support technical needs by coordinating sample requests, following up on technical assistance, and interfacing with customers, distributors, and internal teams; occasional travel for key account visits may be required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and telephonic communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proficient with telephone systems, personal computers, and common office software.
  • Effective written communication skills for clear and professional correspondence.
  • Technical sales expertise with the ability to analyze sales data, evaluate programs, and recommend improvements using diplomacy and sound judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related/science field, plus 2–4 years of professional sales or customer service experience.

The salary for this position is $75,000- $90,000 USD.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
