Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.
Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.
Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.
Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.
Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Application Scientist III
At Sensient Technologies, we are looking for an Application Scientist III to join our team in Mexico.
The ideal candidate is someone with experience in the cosmetic industry, who enjoys collaborating with customers and internal teams to create innovative solutions in formulations and color applications.
What you’ll do:
Lead technical discussions with customers and account managers to understand their market needs and regulatory requirements.
Recommend optimal product selection (colors and ingredients) for applications in cosmetics and home care.
Be responsible for technical (R&D) support on customer projects, testing and determining suitable color solutions
Develop and formulate cosmetic products such as foundations, lipsticks, creams and body lotions, and soaps.
Coordinate communication between the customer and internal Regulatory, Sales and Quality departments.
Travel to customer research and manufacturing sites to promote support the use of our products.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent education.
Minimum of five years of experience in the cosmetics industry, with formulation knowledge.
Experience leading projects requiring application development to provide color solutions.
Ability to conduct technical customer visits and act as a technical-sales liaison.
Creative mindset, customer orientation, and team collaboration skills.
Professional working proficiency in English (minimum 80%).
