Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.

Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.

Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.

Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.

Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Sensient is growing!!  Are you a new or recent college graduate? If so, then come join Sensient as an Innovation Associate within our Food Color Business unit. This exciting role will be responsible for conducting analytical, experimental, investigative, and other fact-finding work using standard scientific methods and practical laboratory processes and techniques to support research scientists in the areas of food and beverage and formulation development for the Food Colors business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Observe, calculate, record, and interpret results of tests. You will also analyze, construct, modify and calibrate equipment used for these teste purposes.
  • Assist Innovation Scientists in the development of key platforms by performing trials, analyzing data, interpreting, and recording results of assigned projects.
  • Evaluate competitive landscape, review publications, patents, and technologies.
  • Attend raw material meetings and participate in raw material and application stability studies. 
  • Drive project work to completion in a timely manner to support business objectives. Be responsible for data entry into retorting tool. 
  • Represent Sensient Food Colors LLC at conferences and customer presentations.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or Biochemistry.
  • Critical thinking, intense curiosity, attention-to-detail, ability to rapidly assimilate and synthesize information, and provide objective evaluations of approaches. 
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical techniques. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
