Technical/Analytical Perfumer

Analytics Team: Lead flavor research and analysis using instrumentation like HPLC, GC, and GC-MS. Improve and develop lab workflows and methodologies. Mentor staff to ensure both technical excellence and financial success through collaborative efforts.
Flavor Creation Team: Develop innovative flavors across diverse market segments, including Beverage, Savory, and Sweet. Work closely with customers and our Applications Teams to deliver impactful, tailored solutions which drive growth and exceed market expectations.
Sensory Team: Design and execute sensory and consumer research to provide in-depth understanding of products and consumers for product development, optimization and maintenance. Conduct panels and apply statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights. Lead training of cross-functional teams and customers in flavor language.
Innovation Team: Utilize scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge ingredients, formulations, and technologies. Contribute to groundbreaking product advancements. Collaborate with a global network of Sensient scientists to shape our industry's future.
Applications Team: Partner with customers in labs and at their facilities to bring their product visions to life. Solve challenges, provide creative solutions to deliver innovative products which align with customer goals across various industries.

Technical/Analytical Perfumer
As a Technical/Analytical Perfumer you will be a vital part of our Essential Oils team, both managing our R&D team and creating and adapting compositions for use in a wide variety of markets.
What you'll do:
- Interpret technical analysis to copy benchmark blends or essential oils
- Create compositions (natural or synthetic that replicate the profile of pure essential oils) for various markets, especially Flavors & Fragrances, Personal Care, Oral Care and Aromatherapy
- Create new or adapt existing compositions in accordance with the customer's specific requirements: regulatory, profile, price, end-use, required labelling
- Maintain and optimise the library of compositions in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Advise and help in the decisions made by the quality control and purchasing departments regarding accepting/rejecting raw materials
- Support quality control and planning on GC, odour and replacements
What you'll bring:
- Fluency in English written and spoken and fluency in additional language is advantage
- Science or chemical degree or 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience and excellent knowledge in GC-MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) analysis and formulation and interpretation of data
- Good knowledge of chemicals, essential oils and natural products used in creating fragrances
- Familiarity with the existing and new legislation that affects the fragrance sector in Europe
